Shandiz Natural Foods not affected by recent peanut recall

Recently there have been peanut butter & peanut recalls in the United States due to Salmonella contamination.  Shandiz has not purchased ingredients from the companies involved in the recall. Specifically Shandiz has no connection whatsoever with Peanut Corporation of America or King Nut.

In light of this news, we want to assure our customers that we have always tested for Salmonella and several other potential microbial pathogens.  Shandiz is a HACCP certified food manufacturing facility. As such, we believe and take pride in the fact that we manufacture our products to the highest possible quality standards.  Please feel free to contact us should you have any further questions or concerns.

Shandiz Natural Foods receives HACCP Certification!

In a milestone achievement, Shandiz Natural Foods, a trend-setter in the organic snack food industry, has secured a HACCP certification for 2008 in recognition of implementing quality standards, good manufacturing practices and procedures established at the company’s production facility.

Nima Fotovat, Director of Operations at Shandiz Natural Foods commented: “The HACCP achievement is the recognition of our commitment to establish best practices and international health and safety standards to provide our consumers with highly nutrient rich and wholesome snack products”.

Manufacturing Methods

The production process used at our facility is a distinct slab process designed and engineered exclusively for Shandiz Natural Foods. This process is unique and simple. It involves minimal processing and no baking of the ingredients or finished product. Whole nuts, delicious fruits, nutritious seeds and/or hearty grains are blended with wholesome sweeteners. What differentiates this method from other production processes is that it maintains the physical and nutritional integrity of the product while cooking or baking often serves to destroy precious nutrients such as vitamins and enzymes. You get delicious taste – just as nature intended.

Product Varieties

Our plant is certified organic and kosher and has been for over 15 years. We are also a dairy free facility. As a result, products manufactured in our facility boast a list of very impressive nutritional benefits and features. Over the years, our staff has developed thousands of prototypes and hundreds of unique products and continues to keep ahead of the market by anticipating upcoming trends, nutritional requirements and changing lifestyles.
